I’ve recently made the decision to move to Government Camp, OR, to work as a lift operator at Timberline for the 2010/2011 Winter. I will continue working as a freelance designer on the side.

Professor Time’s Rhythm Tuner

“Professor Time’s Rhythm Tuner” (App) Is an interactive tempo tracking program, kind of like a metronome that works backward: you play, and it locks onto the rhythm of what you’re playing and tells you the tempo. Musicians can use it both in practice and performance, and music teachers can use it with their students.

No Swimming In This Pool

My good friend Jen Minor and I rode the bus from downtown Portland, to Gabriel Skate park after school last week. We used a disposable camera to take some pictures of us skateboarding this beautiful concrete pool. We also ran into my good friend Paulius Kontijevas (who is a awesome filmer and photographer) and he joined in on the fun. The title of the booklet “No Swimming in this pool” was chosen because this pool is located next to a community pool and well… your just supposed to skateboard in this one. All of the photos were taken with a Fuji film 35mm disposable camera curiosity of Jen Minor.

Guerilla Cat Poster

Design 1 Project. – Our Assignment was to take a missing cat poster that we found from around Portland, and recreate it in our own way. Our new poster had to get the point across that it was a lost cat poster, but could not say or show the word cat, or lost.

Currently I am at the C4D [Center For Design] at PNCA working on a booklet project. I’ve Just discovered that there is a Wacom Drawing Tablet that I have full access too whenever I need use of it.
Someones going to have to come and rescue me from myself or I might never stop drawing.

Schadler Precision Ruler

Today my new Schadler Ruler came in the mail, and well…. before this I never thought I’d be this excited for a new ruler. The package contains two 12″ rules, one each of the “A” and “B” rules. This is the most popular Schaedler Precision Rule package, and one of the best deals! only $35.75.

A – Standard Inch/Metric - “This rule shows Standard Inches in increments of 64ths of an inch photographically printed along its top edge.”

That’s pretty dang accurate!

B – Decimal Inch/DTP Picas - “DTP Points & Picas (DTP = DeskTop Publishing) have been placed on the other edge of this rule. And this time, the points and picas do correspond to standard inches. 12 points = 1 pica; 6 picas = 1 inch.”

Quite convenient if your a designer.

Schaedler Precision Rules

All Schaedler Precision Rules (SPRs) share the following attributes:

(1) They’re accurate. Calibrated from Grand Master standards, they have an accuracy tolerance of better than .00024″ or 1/4,000ths of an inch! That’s less than your fingernails grow in an hour.

(2) They’re convenient. There’s extra grasping room at the left — the most-used end — of each scale; and even the hang-holes are large enough to fit over pushpins.

(3) They’re dimensionally stable. The .007″ polyester film base withstands expansion and contraction due to temperature or humidity changes.
