Mission Statement

As a Communication Designer, I seek to create quality work for good people. I take pride in helping create an image and a name for people with great ideas. I like to approach clients with a professional, yet friendly attitude to let them really understand who I am and what I’m about. The project is then mapped out in a schedule that is used to meet all the needs and deadlines of the client. In turn, the schedule should not be terribly short because the result of a project would be rushed. These projects range from identity, logo, & business cards to poster, catalog, & advertisements. I strive to one day be working for snowboard companies on projects like this.

As an Artist, the personal work I create reflects on the ways I look at life, and the things I dream about. I’ve been making and creating art since I was a little kid and I have always enjoyed it. I’m fond of working with ink washes to create depth and meaning within all of my art. These projects are generally very extended, as I enjoy taking my time and running projects late into the night. When I work late at night I seem to dream awake and the results certainly show through the outcome.

Within this work there is a blend of styles. First there’s the experimental side of my work, where a combination of real and unrealistic forms are used to really draw in the dream aspect of my art. The other type of art utilized is the symbolic styles of Coast Salish Artwork, a beautiful style of artwork that as a Pacific Northwestern Local I have been raised upon. This method really grasps the representation and connections between animals, spirits, and humans. I expect to cherish and continue practicing this style of art within my own work for days to come. I am at a point in my career where my goals are not far away, I’m determined to find a snowboard company in the Northwest to work with to create artwork for their clothing and snowboards.
